The proceedings of the third conference (1952) includes a synopsis of each of the sessions and a list of the conference participants. Presiding over the sessions were: E.P. Wigner, Enrico Fermi, C.D. Anderson, J.R. Oppenheimer, H.A. Bethe, and B. Rossi. The proceedings of the fifth conference (1955) contains a synoposis of each of the sessions. Presiding over the sessions were: H.A. Bethe, G.B. Collins, J. Schwinger, R.W. Thompson, E. Segrè, R.F. Bacher, and R.E. Marshak.

The first Rochester Conference on High Energy Nuclear Physics was held at the University of Rochester in New York on December 16, 1950. The first seven meetings continued to be held there at approximately annual intervals until 1958.
